Why are my evaluations still pending?

If your evaluations are showing as Pending, it means they have not yet been completed or approved. Here are the common reasons and what you can do.

For Students

Your preceptor has not completed the evaluation yet

After you send an evaluation request to your preceptor, they need to log in and complete it. The evaluation will remain pending until they do.

What you can do:

  • Politely remind your preceptor that you have an evaluation waiting
  • Check that you sent it to the correct preceptor
  • Ask your instructor if there are any issues

You have not accepted a completed evaluation

Some programs require students to review and accept evaluations after the preceptor completes them. Check your Notifications for any evaluations waiting for your acceptance.

Your instructor has not approved the evaluation

In some programs, evaluations require instructor approval after the preceptor completes them. This is part of the normal workflow — your instructor will review and approve when ready.

For Preceptors

If you have completed an evaluation but it still shows as pending:

  • Check if you clicked Save AND Submit — saving a draft does not complete the evaluation
  • Look for required fields — all required sections must be filled before submission
  • Check for error messages — there may be validation issues preventing submission
