File Uploads for Competencies and Evaluations
Overview
Some CompKeepr installations allow students to upload files (images or PDFs) to attach to competencies or evaluation forms. This feature must be enabled by the school.
When File Uploads Are Used
File uploads are commonly used when:
- A student needs to be evaluated by someone not in CompKeepr (e.g., an external evaluator)
- A printed competency form was signed by hand
- Documentation from an external source needs to be attached
How It Works
For Students
When creating a competency assessment or evaluation assessment to send to a preceptor or evaluator:
- Look for the grey button: Click if you need to upload files
- Click the button to access the file upload feature
- Take a photo or select the signed/completed document
- Upload the file
- The file will be attached to your assessment for the evaluator to validate
The uploaded file allows your evaluator to review the documentation when completing your assessment in CompKeepr.
For Clinical Instructors and School Accounts
- Review the uploaded file attached to the competency or evaluation
- Verify the content matches what was documented
- Complete the evaluation in CompKeepr based on the uploaded file
Important Notes
- This feature is not available on all installations - the school must enable it
- Accepted file types: Images (JPG, PNG) and PDF
- Students should ensure uploaded files are clear and legible
