When to Use File Uploads

Note: This feature may not be available in all CompKeepr installations. Check with your school if you do not see the upload option.

File uploads allow you to attach images or PDFs to competencies or evaluation forms. Common uses include:

• Attaching a signed paper evaluation from a preceptor who is not in CompKeepr
• Adding supporting documentation to an evaluation

How to Upload Files

1. Look for the Click if you need to upload files button (usually grey)
2. Select your file (image or PDF)
3. The file will be attached to your competency or evaluation

Tips for Paper Evaluations

If you need to have a preceptor evaluate you on paper:

1. Print the competency view page (it includes signature lines)
2. Have your preceptor complete and sign it
3. Take a clear photo of the signed form
4. Send the competency to a clinical instructor or school account
5. Use the upload feature to attach the photo

The instructor or school account can then verify the content and complete the evaluation based on the uploaded file.
